This book was a great way to start my journey, I got to tell you. I loved this. Jane Austen was... is an incredible writer.
The beginning made me hesitate. I mean, I couldn't care less about girls wanting to marry rich guys. We see it everyday now, why bother read a book about what we see + the sophisticated dialouge.
But then I met the love of my life, Mr. Darcy (what is his first name?!). I think I swooned the moment he was introduced. Sure, he was arrogant and prideful, but he couldn't always be like that or there would be no book!
Elizabeth Bennett is a great character, too. I mean, you really want her to get what she wants and she isn't perfect (that's a good thing). Both Elizabeth and Mr. Smokey... eh hem, I mean Mr. Darcy are characters that are fully developed and not flat at all.
Of course, there are some people that you just want to shoot. Mrs. Bingley (female dog material), Kitty, Lydia, Jane (she is way too nice), Lady Catherine, etc.
Others you love so much, you imagine them shooting the S.C. (sucky characters) for you! That's love, man!
The book was way better than the movie, too.
The best part was definately Darcy confessing to Elizabeth. I was jealous beyond belief and even thought about asking Charles Bingley (my third favorite character) to maim and/or murder her viciously, but I restrained myself. I don't think Charles could handle a mission that big, anyway.
Overall, 9/10.
(That's really good!)
